History of the department:
the department was created in 1969. On the 23d September 2005 Department of Algebra, Department of Geometry and Department of Mathematical Analysis were integrated and named Department of Mathematics.

Specialization: Differential Equations.

- Problems of mathematics innovative education in secondary schools and universities;
- Numerical implementation of some mathematical physics tasks;
- Theory of groups and its utilization in different area of mathematics;
- Math modeling in ecological, economic and education tasks.
