The union of university workers is guided in its work by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Laws on the “Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the laws “On Education”, On “Trade Unions”, On “Social Partnership in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “On Housing Relations”, “On Public Associations” and other legislative acts, as well as the Charter of the union of workers in education and science, the General Agreement concluded between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the republican associations of trade unions, the republican associations of employers, the industry agreement between the Ministry Education and the trade union of workers of Education and Science, the labor collective agreement with the rector of S.Amanzholov EKSU.

Main tasks of the trade Union Committee of teachers and staff of S. Amanzholov EKSU:
- represent and protect the professional, economic, social interests, cultural rights and freedoms of members of the collective in accordance with the procedure established by law, promote the improvement of housing and living conditions and the implementation of labor protection and safety standards;
- to defend the agreed positions of trade Union organizations of the region in relation to the socio-economic situation, socio-political events in the country;
- direct efforts to ensure that employees comply with The University's Charter and internal labor regulations, complete and high-quality performance of labor duties;
- actively assist the administration in resolving labor disputes, conflict situations, and normalizing the moral and psychological climate in the team;
- assist the administration in the execution of the Collective agreement with the rector of the S. Amanzholov EKSU;
- collectively and publicly to address all the issues at the joint public meetings of trade Union activists;
- provide employees with free legal assistance;
- conduct cultural, sports and mass events dedicated to national, state and professional holidays together with the employer;
- to encourage members of the trade Union with certificates and awards for active participation in the public work of the University;
- allocate bonuses to teachers and employees in connection with anniversaries of birth
- assist in the placement of employees ' children in d / nursery-garden;
- To provide financial assistance to:
- on the organization of family rest of employees of the University;
- for the purchase of health resorts, recreation areas and children's vouchers;
- for holding cultural events in professional groups;
